    Finding International Flights Online

    • 1). Decide on your departure airport, arrival destination, trip length, travel dates and budget. The more information you know in advance will help narrow down your search results into a manageable, personalized list.

    • 2). Navigate to a travel search engine like Kayak.com, Travelocity.com or Orbitz.com. Enter as much information as you have available, including departure and arrival locations, travel dates, and if an option, the maximum amount you are willing to spend for a ticket. Select "Search."

    • 3). Review the search results for the best combination of price and flight times, and then select the flight that best fits your criteria. Book directly online by entering your passenger and credit card information. Keep in mind you may be required to enter passport information, so have it handy.

Finding International Flights Over the Phone

    • 1). Decide on the same information noted in Section 1. This is especially important when booking over the phone, as it increases the chances that your ticket agent can accurately match you to the best available flights.

    • 2). Call a live reservation specialist (see Resources for a list of airline agent phone numbers).

    • 3). Explain to the reservation specialist in a clear, comprehensive and firm manner your criteria for your desired international flight. Choose the best flight from the available flights the specialist provides to you, and book directly through them by providing your passenger and credit card information.
