Do you have a sliding glass door that you want to replace? If your answer is yes, then you have come to the right place. In this article, I will give you some tips regarding the replacement of old sliding glass doors with the new chic ones.

You need to do quite a few things to replace the old sliding door and install a new one in its place. The first step is to take out the fixed side of the door by removing two brackets: one at the top and other at the bottom. After removing all the screws, slide the door to the center before lifting the bottom of the door up and out of the tracks.

Double French Doors are mesmerizing and beautiful. They can serve as a wonderful addition when replacing sliding glass doors. But French Doors have their own drawbacks as well. For example, when you wish to leave the doors open they take a huge amount of living space, and they can also restrict areas where you might want to place your furniture. Also, French doors do not generally have screens, which can be an issue if you like to leave your doors open to encourage air circulation in pleasant weather.

Check that the frame is centered within the opening. There should be equal spacing along each jamb, and the head of the frame should be checked with a level for plumpness. Screw the frame into the structural studs using at least three screws in each jamb. Use wooden shims to level out the unit if necessary.

After taking all these measurements, you need to order for all the materials, so that your old door can be replaced with the new stylish one.
