- 1). Wipe the surface of the plastic item with a clean, damp cloth to remove any dust or stains that may be present. Wipe the cleaned area with a dry cloth to remove the moisture.
- 2). Print the desired words on the plastic item with a permanent marker or paint pen. Take care not to smudge the writing with the side of your hand as you print.
- 3). Allow the writing to dry thoroughly to avoid smudging -- for approximately 3 to 5 minutes -- before continuing the project.
