Do the Hormones Have Anything To Do With Candidiasis?
Her gynecologist recently ran some blood test to check for hormonal imbalance.
She thought he was checking all of them, but when the results came in, she learned he only did the ones that concerned him because he was only interested in ruling out tumors.
Some of the hormones came out normal and others were way out of whack.
She would like to know if they have anything to do with Candidiasis.
- Prolactin (normal) - Follic Stimulating (normal) - Luteinizing (normal) - Testosterone <20 (normal should be between 49-120) - DHEA-S 366 (normal should be between 32-240) My sibling suffers with Candida and her hormones (estrogen and prolactin, and thyroid) are out of whack.
She also hasn't gotten her period in almost 3 years.
All the natural doctors we have talked to said that candida is the root of the problem.
Systemic candida can affect any organ or gland, including the adrenal gland.
So, it is better to have your doctor check you for adrenal exhaustion.
A lot of what I have read suggests a definite relationship between candidiasis and hormones.
My doctor used saliva and blood tests to bring into balance my hormones including thyroid, progesterone, and testosterone.
I take prometrium (progesterone) 100mg on days 16-26, testosterone drops every other day, and Armour thyroid.
I also take a prescription antifungal and lots of supplements.
After about 2.
5 weeks on this protocol, I could see a dramatic change in my body.
Having hormones out of balance can make fighting candida that much more difficult.
