The ancient village of Finestrat is situated at the foot of Puig Campana which is a majestic rock dominating the coast line of Alicante some forty kilometres away and within ten kilometres of Benidorm. There are many more dishes that include only vegetables, just let it be said that a vegetarian would have a field day here.

There is a quiet secluded beach just below the village known as Cala de Finestrat. This beach is covered in excellent white sand that you need sunglasses to look at on a bright day. For a small village the beach is full of facilities not only for the older ones but also the children are looked after with their own playgrounds. There is a local diving club that offers diving tours where you can see excellent marine life on the seabed. As this is a sheltered cove the novice sailor will feel safer in these calm waters. With the villages close proximity to the mountains this makes it ideal for hiking and walking excursions.
