- 1). Place your hand on top of the hand grips located on the left and right side of the Rollator.
- 2). Point your fingers towards the ground while still holding your hand on top of the grip. This will feel like a grasping motion.
- 3). Place your fingers under the top of the brake mechanism located just below the grip. Your hand should now be in a "C" formation.
- 4). Squeeze your hand while your fingers are under the top of the brake mechanism and on the grip. This will engage the brakes.
- 5). Practice braking and review safety tips for operating a walker (see Resources) before any extraneous activity.
