Home Acne Remedies That Can Get Rid of Even the Toughest Pimples!

We all know what it's like to be a teenager with a crippling fear of a pimple coming out right before a school picture or event.
Some of us have had acne haunt us into our adulthood while our friends developed clear complexions.
Countless of us have spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on various creams and "magic bullet" solutions that did not work or only worked temporarily.
Rubbing various manufactured chemicals into our skin does not seem like a good idea but some only know that as their lone option.
Over the years, I've gathered a variety of information on different remedies from different people of different cultures.
I have tried some of these remedies myself, while only hearing success stories about others from my friends.
My hope, in writing this article, is that people who are dependent on store-bought "quick-fixes" that often don't work will realize that there are more safe and natural ways to achieve a clear complexion.
It is common knowledge that astringent (which literally alters the composition of tissue) can be used to dry a pimple and help it heal.
However, most people use an overpriced astringent in a fancy "beauty supply" bottle when there are much cheaper and more natural options available.
For example, a great astringent to use is witch hazel which is some pretty powerful stuff.
Another great astringent is rubbing alcohol, and even ice cold water can cause astringent-like effects.
But the ultimate astringent that I have found works for me better than any store bought one is a mix of very strong black tea with vinegar and rubbed on the area of the acne.
The combination of tannins in the tea and the dissolution properties of vinegar seems to stop acne dead in its track and all for the price of a few pennies.
Store-bought astringents do not compare.
Other people, with naturally oily skin, require a constant use of acne prevention, and thus spend a lot of money on products that promise to stop pimples before they come out.
However, these products seldom work and are often fruitless after a pimple has already appeared.
The best way to prevent acne is to eat healthy and receive adequate daily nutrition as this helps the body function normally and fully.
Receiving nutrition from food sources such as green veggies and fruits is much preferred to a multivitamin, although one can be taken if there really is no other choice.
But for those who like to go the extra step, I found that this method is great for preventing acne especially after sweating.
The process is to take a burning hot shower to open your pores, rub a dab of wild organic honey all over your face, let it sit and then wash it off with cold water.
The cold water closes the pores and helps to retain the nutrients of the honey.
I have many friends who swear by natural facial care regimes and they look fantastic.
It is really a wonder what nature can do when science can't.
With these suggestions, I hope that I have opened someone eyes to a different world of acne treatment and encouraged more people to utilize natural facial care techniques.
With that, I wish you well.
