When young kids attend their first day at the day care center, it is natural that they would shy away from other students.
This is because they have been introduced a new environment with new faces for the very first time.
Naturally they would not know to behave in their first social circle.
It is imperative that before kids are given formal instruction, their day care instructors should first develop their socialization and interpersonal skills.
Kids normally take time to relax and work with their classmates and it is a tedious process to guide them through this process.
Day care instructors should try their best to find a way to make them work with their classmates.
This is usually a difficult task as children would really find it hard to leave their comfort zones and mingle with their classmates.
Others would just cry and retreat to a corner.
But hard work and perseverance of the day care instructors will yield good results.
Socialization can greatly bolster the child's confidence and brings a sense of fulfillment to their mentors.
A very effective way to break the ice among the kids is to engage them in fun activities.
In this aspect, it would be very helpful if the day care center has Construction Sets like Block pieces, Toddler's Manipulatives, and Magnetic building kits.
Construction Sets are not only fun to play with, these also develop fine motor skills of young children and promote their pattern and shape recognition skills.
Playing these useful playthings also strengthen interpersonal relationships.
