    • 1). Trim any thorns from your flowers' stems and grasp the bunch of flowers in your hand. Rearrange them so that the flowers in the middle of the bouquet stand slightly taller than the greenery around the outer edge. This helps ensure that all of your flowers are displayed to the fullest.

    • 2). Cut a 24-inch length of wire and wrap it tightly around the stems. Continue wrapping until the two loose edges meet up again and twist the two together. Push the ends to the inside of the bouquet.

    • 3). Cut the ends of the bouquet so that they are straight. They can be as long as you prefer, but no shorter than 6 inches, as any shorter can make it difficult to grip fully.

    • 4). Pin an edge of the lace strand or satin ribbon at the base of the flowers. Push the pin in at an angle so that its point cannot poke your hand while you hold the bouquet. Wrap the fabric around the stems to completely cover the wire and trim away the excess fabric.

    • 5). Turn the wrap's loose edge under so that it cannot be seen and push in a corsage pin at that point to keep it secure.
