Sylhet is an amazing holiday destination in Bangladesh visited by a number of tourists every year. The city is situated on the northern bank of Surma river and is surrounded by the Jaintia, Khasi and Tripura hills. Sylhet has many forests, lakes, beautiful sights to see, fruit gardens and flourishing wildlife.

In the thick forests of Sylhet, one can find different species of birds and animals. The city is one of the most attractive cities in Bangladesh and is also known as the tea capital of Bangladesh. The visitors can see a huge number of tea gardens in the city spreading all around like a green carpet.

Gour Gobinda Fort: The fort resides in the middle of city called Chauhatta. Earlier, it was destroyed By Sufi Saint Hajrat Shahjalal and now is a historical place.

Jaflong: Jaflong is one of the most attractive place in Sylhet. It is a picturesque spot nearby amidst tea gardens. Situated besides the river Peain, it is completely a hilly area of real natural beauty where hills are greenish with the forests.

Sripur: Its a beautiful place from where one can see Gushing Sylhet Waterfalls high on the mountains. It is located just 7 -8 kms away from Jaflong. Here, one can have the full view of the nature.

Sree Mangal: This place is famous for the largest tea gardens in the world. Here, one can have a look into the tea processing at Tea Research Institiue. It is called "The land of two leaves and a bud".

Lawacherra Rain Forest: Lawacherra Rain Forest is one of the vital & well-reserved forests in Bangladesh. Here, one can see the gibbons jumping from one tree to the other. The forest is habitat to leopard, deer, wild chicken, squirrel, python and many other animals and birds. Also, there is a rare Chloroform tree of Asia which is a major attraction of travel.

Tilagor: It is a place with big and small hills and tea gardens. It is one of the most frequently visited tourist spot in Sylhet. Here, one can also find dairy farms, poultry farms.

Madhabkunda Waterfall: Madhabkunda is the largest waterfall in Bangladesh situated in the city. The waterfall is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Bangladesh. Lots of tourists and picnic parties come to Madhabkunda every day for their enjoyment.
