Video: How to Make Cupid Arrows With Cardboard
Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Linda Hutchinson of L Hutchinson Designs. Today I'm going to show you how to make Cupid's arrow out of cardboard. Whether you want to have it as a little decoration for Valentine's party or just a little loving gesture for the special person in your life, it's a cute little craft to make. So first I have a couple of cardboard hearts that I cut out of a cereal box. And I painted them red and I have here a pipe cleaner. A metallic pipe cleaner which I glued some velom squares on to the other end. And I have some scissors and some hot glue. So first of all I'm going to take the hearts and put them together and glue them on to the end of the pipe cleaner here forming a little heart shaped arrow. How appropriate for Cupid. So I'm going to put a little hot glue on the inside, non painted side of the cardboard. And I'm going to press my pipe cleaner right on top of that. Be careful not to burn yourself. Then I'm going to put some glue on this side as well to get a good bond. And I'm going to place that right on top of that heart and press it all together. Just keep pinching it in place so it gets a good bond going. So once you have that part done, then you can just simply take your scissors on the other end and just cut away at the velom to get the effect that you want to put like a feather on the other end of the arrow. Make it kind of aerodynamic. So you want to make sure it gets to its intended person and they fall in love with you. Maybe cut a few ridges in there, kind of make it feather like. And there's a way that you can make a Cupid's arrow out of cardboard. My name is Linda Hutchinson, thank you so much for joining me. Bye bye.
