They are also very loud and skittish; when they get to trust you and love you they are very docile and warm.
These dogs are so small that they are always alert of every movement and sound around them.
If the dog is not properly trained at an early age you will have him barking at every shadow and movement he sees all day and night.
They can also become aggressive to strangers that may try to pet them which will surely end up in bites and attacks.

Do not fall for the miniature sales pitch, they do not exist, they are all about the same size when they are adults.

They are also delicate dogs, you can't hug them hard or squeeze them, he might break something and die.
They are very small dogs which like to sleep a lot but they move around too.
You will always have to be aware of his whereabouts so as not to step on him and crush him.
It is not a good idea to walk with them on a crowded street; they get scared and may be trampled if get distracted.
They are really a one master dog, ideal for single people who want good company.
Once they settle in they are loving and caring dogs.
