How to Make a Crocheted Lace Bikini
- 1). Crochet the bottom. Start at the back end and chain the number of stitches required to reach half of your waist measurement. Crochet evenly for approximately two inches, then decrease one stitch on both ends of every other row until it measures the size you want for going between your legs (approximately four inches). Crochet evenly until you have the desired length, then increase up the other side to make the front.
- 2). Crochet the cups. Work in rows to make triangular-shaped cups. Start by chaining the required amount of stitches to fit the width of the cup. Then decrease your stitches on the ends of every other row until your triangular cup comes to a point. Repeat for a second cup.
- 3). Sew the bottoms of the cups together in the center corners. Then crochet a band out of single crochet stitches approximately two inches wide. Sew the bottom edges of the cups to this band and use it to tie around your ribs. Make two lengths of chain stitches to be the ties to your bikini top, and attach one to each cup and then tie the free ends around your neck.
- 4). Sew the side seams on the bottom and make one or two rounds of single crochet stitching at the top edge to ensure it stays together. Wear your lacy bikini with pride.
