Examine your intentions. By examining your personal mindset, you can free your mind from these limitations which have kept you from your goals in the past. For example, if your goal is to lose weight, look within to determine what has kept you from achieving this goal in the past, and what you now need to do to make time for yourself to allow this to occur. - 3

Set a positive intention within yourself, and encourage yourself. Do not criticize yourself or put yourself down. An intention set in a positive mind, such as "I want to lose weight to increase my stamina and improve my life enjoyment," encourages and reinforces your desire to change your life. Personal cheerleading and positive personal feedback will increase your desire to achieve your goal and will increase the strength of your intention.
