Oral hygiene is very important as everyone would like to have clean, white teeth and fresh breath as well.
This article deals with some oral hygiene instructions that can make a remarkable difference to your oral health and make you more confident when speaking or smiling.
Oral Hygiene Instruction It is essential that you clean your teeth both in the morning and the evening with a soft, small headed toothbrush with fluoride toothpaste.
Over and above this you should use a dental floss or any other interdental cleaner between all of your teeth and also where the tooth meets the gum.
But brushing alone is not the solution to good oral hygiene and so you could follow the recommended instruction.
•Brush your teeth twice with fluoride toothpaste of high quality.
•Children should clean their teeth after every meal if possible.
•Clean between the teeth everyday with floss or an interdental cleaner.
It is here that most of the decay causing bacteria still lingers and the toothbrush bristles cannot reach.
Interdental cleaners also remove plaque and the food particles from in between the teeth and under the gum line as well.
•Make sure that you eat a well balanced meal and also try and limit your between-meal snacks.
•Try and visit your dentist and dental hygienist regularly for professional cleaning and oral exams.

•Make sure that you replace your toothbrush every 6-8 weeks or even sooner if the bristles are becoming frayed.
A worn out tooth brush is of no use to you as it will not clean your teeth well.
•Children's toothbrushes are softer and get worn out much faster so you might have to replace them sooner.
How to Brush? •You need to place the bristles at a 45 degree angle to the teeth.
•Brush with gentle pressure in a circular motion so that any plaque which is growing under the gum can be removed.
•Brush the inside surfaces of the upper and lower teeth by tilting the brush in a vertical manner and by making several small up and down strokes with the front part of the toothbrush.
•Make sure that you brush the outside, tongue sides and also the chewing surfaces of the chewing surfaces of all your teeth.
How to Floss? •Start by taking a piece of floss about 30cms in length.
•Wind this floss around your middle finger and take hold of ½ inch of the floss tightly between the thumb and the forefingers.
•Insert this floss in between your teeth carefully.
•Hold the floss taught and then curve it round one side of the tooth.
•After this move the floss up and down against the tooth and then move on to another.
•The main purpose of the floss is to remove the film of plaque that is present on your teeth and not just stuck food particles.
•Then using a new piece of floss continue flossing tooth surfaces, even those that don't have a tooth next to them.
•At the end rinse your mouth thoroughly to remove the loosened particles.
