Many of us have heard of Red Clover and the associated benefits of assisting with menopause symptoms.
This herb has been used for thousands of years in China and Russia and was prescribed for treating skin ailments, asthma, kidney stones, bronchitis and more.
Currently many women use Red Clover for Menopause systems and this does seem to assist some women who suffer from hot flushes.
Recently testing of this Clover for Menopause as found it contains isoflavones similar to those contained in soy.
It is this isoflavone which is attributed to assisting with hot flushes and night sweats.
Clover contains many other nutrients including magnesium, thiamine, vitamin C, chromium, calcium and phosphorus.
It is believed that these other nutrients can also assist with mood swings and depression which some women can suffer during menopause.
While studies have not found any adverse side effects you should consult a medical practitioner if you are currently taking bloody thinning tablets.
Red Clover contains a chemical known as coumestans which may assist in blood thinning so it would be unwise not to consult with your doctor before taking it.
It is also not recommended for women taking Hormone Replacement Therapy.
Red clover for menopause is now available in a variety of preparations, including tables,liquid extract, capsules and teas.
It is also available in an ointment form to treat skin problems.
Red clover is usually taken in capsule form and it is recommended to take between 400 and 500 mg to treat adverse menopause symptoms.
