North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) now trusts the Security Laminates of ACE for giving much improved protection to their vehicles while in Combat with enemy. In situations of Close Quarter Combat (CQC) the NATO forces need protection while they try to manage First Strike Advantage. A calculative Test was conducted for ACE Laminate Films on glass shield using deadly weapons and associated ammunition. To protect their combat vehicles from bullet or bomb shockwaves - NATO conducted a confidential test using ACE Laminates to plate glass and windshield glass of vehicles. The annealed plate glass used for Testing was treated with ASLX film. The weapons used were Smith & Wesson (S&W) Magnum Revolver and Benelli, Nova, 12 Gauge Shotgun. The results were spectacular. The film treated window-shield and plate glass were robust in resisting incoming arms fire, especially from a close range of within five meters. In the First stage of the Test a shot from S&W Revolver was fired on the annealed glass plate surface from 14-inches proximity. The film did not tear, although a deflection that shattered the glass was measured on the back surface of the glass. A second shot from another angle at a distance of 11-inches was fired on same target and the result was still the same. The laminated glass shield remained intact and the bullet was impenetrable. The glass loss was also minimal and the bullet smashed on the shield and fell off on ground. The Second stage of the test was conducted on automobile door window-shield treated with ASLX film. The test situation was a typical one that NATO forces encounter in a war inflicted zone. Sudden attacks on vehicles from close quarters could easily find bullet penetrating through the window glass and targets the vehicle occupants. During the test two S&W Revolver shots from 12-inches away and one of Benelli Shotgun from 43-ft away were fired at the target glass-shield. No perforation was found on the window glass shield and it remained intact in its original position. Little glass powder came off from the shield but that was all the damage that was done. The end result was successful and it was concluded that the ASLX film was able to resist bullet and shotgun attacks from close range. The driver and the passenger in the vehicle would be protected. The amazing fact about ACE laminate shield is that even after the attack the ASLX film remained safe and allowed driver to return fire on the outsider. The NATO tests reestablished the value of ACE Laminate Films in protecting the life and property of innocent people. The test was conducted under the supervision of a third party independent lab along with certified engineering technicians for the University of Ottawa using military protocol and the firearms handled by licensed sniper.
