The Law of Attraction: Creation Is a Process

So many people teaching the law of attraction make people think that all you need to do to attract your dreams is to think about them for a moment and then they magically exist.
But just stop for a second and imagine if the world worked that way: that'd be really horrifying.
Over the course of today alone, I can think of at least 25 terrible things I thought about that I'm thankful didn't instantly manifest themselves into my experience-and over the course of my life, I've thought about a great deal of things I'm very glad didn't manifest themselves because among other things, I'd be dead.
Deliberate creation, like anything else in the world, is a process.
In order to do it, you don't necessarily have to be aware of how the process works; however, if you are explicitly aware of how it works, then you can not only speed it up, but you can use the process to get what you want more accurately.
So, what is this process? The process is the law of attraction seen from a 10,000-foot overview in three simple steps: ask, answer, and receive.
Whenever you desire something, you ask for it.
The more you think about it and the more congruent you are with the desire (i.
e.
the less you block yourself by holding contrary beliefs or emotions) the more powerful your asking is.
Answering is the universe's job and it is always working to respond positively.
Receiving is your job and it's not only staying congruent in emotions and beliefs long enough to get something, but keeping it once you have it.
Many people mess up the process by not having enough faith.
You have to believe that if you truly desire something that it will come to you.
If you don't believe it can happen, that's resistance and you're standing in your own way.
You also have to be determined to get your desire and persistent enough to keep doing what you need to do to make it happen.
Not believing in the process or constantly checking in on the universe or constantly asking for the same thing without forward movement is akin to praying for failure.
Every time you do something to stand in your own way, you're blocking yourself, hurting yourself, and fighting yourself: if you just get out of your own way, you'll get the tasks you want to get done more effectively and have more time and energy to do other tasks!
