How to Make String Bracelets With Letters
Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Pull all four strands of string together so they are of equal length. Tie the four strands in a knot located about an 1 1/2 inches from the top of the string. Take a clipboard and place the string under the clip, securing it in place so you can work with the individual strings.
2
Separate all four strings along the face of the clipboard. Take the first string on the left and loop it over, and then under the second string on the right, creating a knot. Loop the first string over and under the second string once more, create a double knot. Using the first string, tie double knots around each of the remaining strands, move left to right.
3
Repeat the double knot process with each strand, always begin with the far left strand. Tie double knots, left to right, until you have created a bracelet to the desired length. At pre-determined intervals between knots, string either letter beads or pendants onto single strings, lock them in place with the succeeding knots. Space out your letters appropriately so you can form names or words to your liking.
4
Tie both ends of the entire bracelet in a knot when you are finished weaving the strings and adding letter beads. For a more secure fit, tie the bracelet closed while it is around your friend's wrist in order to get the right measurement.
