Barack Obama Practicing Brazilian Jiujitsu?
Imagine Barack Obama practicing Brazilian Jiujitsu in the white house.
Then I realized it might not be so strange at all.
If you look back, you'll see that he wouldn't be the first, as there is one former President who practiced martial arts in the white house.
Theodore Roosevelt was the first to practice Judo and have an instructor come in to train him.
He had a designated training room with mats put in and often demonstrated his skills.
He even made it to Brown Belt and was also into boxing and wrestling.
Looking at other countries, Russia's president Vladimir Putin is also a 6th degree Black Belt in Judo.
I think leaders of countries staying fit and even more so, practicing martial arts sets a great example.
Given the opportunity I think Obama would give it a try being that Brazilian Jiujitsu is a very pragmatic and sophisticated martial art, called the thinking man's martial art by many.
It would be perfectly suited for him.
Think about it, he is known to workout a few times a week and is in good shape.
The fact that he's already in decent shape would only help him in developing grappling skills.
This would be great for Obama's image and send a strong message to other nations about what kind of leader he is by practicing a martial art, especially a combat sport like Brazilian Jiujitsu.
In the end, even if he never takes up BJJ, the fact that he stays in shape emphasizes the importance of leading an active lifestyle which sets a great example for America's youth.
