Getting a job that lets you work from home is the Holy Grail for many moms.
The dream of working from home is strong because it allows you to do so much from the comfort of your home, it makes your daily tasks that much easier.
There are some jobs that are more easily done from home than others, and it's always good to brainstorm and come up with as many different possibilities as you can.
They won't all be winners, but you only need one good option to make it a reality.
Here are some of the best jobs for moms to do from home: Daycare - Since you've already got your child at home, why not add a few more from other people.
It's just as easy to make one sandwich as it is to make 3 or 4.
Writing - There's a strong need for blog posts, articles, and other web content.
If you have a knack for writing you can get paid to provide this content.
Writing is a job that can be done from almost anywhere.
The other benefit is that it can be done at any time.
If you put your child down for a nap you can get some writing done.
Or, after they go to bed for the night you can get several hours of writing done before your own bedtime.
The possibilities are endless, and there's many different websites you can go to in order to sell your writing or pick up writing gigs.
Blogging - If you are able to wait for your money you can start a blog.
Many women have started blogs that help other women cope with being a mom.
It does take some time for your blog to start getting traffic, but once it becomes popular you could make a decent amount from advertising and other revenues, enough to equal a part of full-time job.
Online Store - Some women are able to sell things on auction sites that are related to being a mom.
If you've become an expert on all things children there's a good chance you'll be able to sell these wares on sites like eBay or Amazon.
You can find bargains around your local area and sell them to people who live in places where these things are hard to find.
Again, you'll have to put in a lot of time and work and wait several months or more before you business is at a level to provide a steady income, but if you have the time it can be very rewarding.
Telecommuting - If you can convince your employer to let you try working from home, you might find that you're even more productive when you don't have to deal with the daily commute.
Ask if they'll let you try it out and see if you're more productive.
If they give you the chance, work as hard as you can to make them see that it's better for them to let you work at your home.
