Buy Tickets Direct from ScoreBig.com

ScoreBig.com is a national ticket seller in the U.S., and you can sign up online to receive offers in the Phoenix area. Discounts here vary from 10% to 60% off face value. There is no charge to check on current offers. Generally speaking, ScoreBig.com offers tickets to professionally produced concerts, shows and sporting events that are nationally known. It is not about community theatre or local comedy clubs, for example.

How Does ScoreBig.com Work

When you see a sporting event, concert or show at ScoreBig.com for which you'd like to buy tickets you will usually have a choice of various classes of seats. The higher the star rating, the more expensive the seats. You won't know which exacts seats you are selecting, but you will be shown the sections offered at the various star levels when you enter a number of tickets. If those highlighted sections look good to you, select them and move on ot the next step. Now comes the tricky part: you have to make an offer.

You will be shown the face value amount of the tickets you selected, as well as the average savings being offered. That should give you a hint as to how much to offer for your tickets. Enter a price per ticket. You'll see a little indicator that indicates the likelihood of success of your bid. The "greener" your bid, the more likely you'll get the tickets at your price. Beware: if submit a bid that is too low, you'll be locked out of that seating area for those tickets for 24 hours.

That prevents someone from just bidding super low and just increasing the bid by $1 thirty or forty times! If you are locked out of one seat rating for an event, you can still go into another seat rating and bid on tickets, or bid on a different show or event.

Ten Things to Know Before You Buy Your Tickets
  1. There is no charge to sign up. Every once in a while you'll get a newsletter announcing shows or events in your area for which ScoreBig.com has discounted tickets.
  2. There are no additional fees, handling charges, convenience charges or postage. The price you have bid, if accepted, is the price you will pay. I made several online comparisons, and ScoreBig.com's tickets were definitely cheaper than the regularly priced tickets with fees sold by Ticketmaster.
  3. You won't know which exacts seats you are selecting, but you will be shown the sections offered at the various star levels when you enter a number of tickets. That means that special seating requests can't be honored. If you need an aisle seat, or one that is handicapped accessible, this is not the program for you.
  4. Any ticket that has an obstructed view will be fully disclosed on the website.
  5. You might find tickets at ScoreBig.com even before tickets go on sale to the regular public. I tried to buy tickets to a football game and, while I was strategizing my next move (!) the tickets sold out. It is possible that new inventory for that game or concert will be added, so you might want to check back with ScoreBig.com at another time before you pay full price plus fees. When I checked back a week later there were, indeed, more of those tickets in inventory.
  6. If you buy all your seats at the same time you will be seated together.
  7. Sometimes, if an offer is close, ScoreBig.com will make you a counter-offer. I had that happen to me! I was buying tickets to a big-name performer at Ak-Chin Pavilion in west Phoenix, and all that was left was General Admission tickets, on the grass. I knew how much they would cost if I bought them through the venue, so I made a bid. ScoreBig.com came back with a counter-offer of just a few dollars more than my bid. I took the deal. It was still about a 45% discount. Yay!
  8. ScoreBig.com does not tell you in advance how you will receive your tickets. They tell me that 75% are sent electronically -- that's how I like to receive them for several reasons, including the fact that it makes it easier to send tickets to someone as a gift. If the tickets are not sent electronically, they could be at will call at the event/show (ID required), or they could be sent via courier. The tickets I ordered were sent to me via Federal Express. I received them five calendar days later (there was a weekend in between). In my case, that was in plenty of time for the event. Still, you are cautioned that this type of uncertainty might not work for you if you are out-of-town and buying tickets for an upcoming trip to Phoenix within a few days, or if you aren't home to receive them (I had to sign for the delivery). If delivery is an issue for you, contact ScoreBig.com's customer service staff.
  9. I was pleased to see ticket offers for our major sports teams: Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Mercury, Phoenix Coyotes, Sun Devil Football, for example.
  10. Sales are final. No refunds are given. If the event was canceled by the venue, contact ScoreBig.com for refund information.
