Effect of Window Defroster on Decals

Rear window car decal graphics won't be affected much by the defroster. Most graphics adhered on vehicles are have an acrylic glue that is able to endure high temperature up to 180F or 82C. If your defroster is not defective, it's impossible for it to even reach that temperature.

How Weather Proof are Vinyl Stickers and Decals

Stickers and decals made from vinyl material is one hundred percent (100%) resistant to weather changes. If the dyes on the graphics are of quality, then you should not worry about them fading off if in contact with water at high or low temperature. Most likely, the heat of the sun has the most effect on decals as it has the tendency to have the fade the dyes.

Polyvinyl stickers are elastic items that are casted in heat or rolled in cold temperature. The casted one tends to be more stable dimensionally compared to the rolled one has the memory of its original dimensions and tends to reduce in size with time.  But then, it should not go back to its original size.

Since the cast polyvinyl is made with the use of some heat, the cost of making the products is more expensive, and they appear to be thinner and the warranty is much longer. Even though, most decal makers utilize the rolled films with the exception of vehicle wraps and other costly graphics that are imprinted on cast polyvinyl.

And so, there you have it, vinyl stickers and decals are without a doubt weather proof. If you have one placed on the surface of your car and you found it to be not weather proof, then that graphic of yours is not made from vinyl material, perhaps from a much economized laminated sticker that is made of paper.

Vinyl and Polyester Decals on Windows with Tints

Stickers made from vinyl or polyester should not have any negative effect on window tints. Most tin manufacturers do liquid tinting these times, however, if you got something like an aftermarket tint, the glue used is quite hard that when you apply heat the decal gets off but with adhesive residue left on the surface where the item is adhered to.

Hardware shops have stocks on orange peel which is an oil-based adhesive remove that does no harm on any window tints. It can certainly take off the adhesive sticker without damaging the tint.

On one hand, in case you are really worried about this matter, then you should just go for graphics made from vinyl material which contains back-adhesive that you can display on the exterior surface of your car's window. If you intend to put some in the interior side, go for static clings. They are removable and contain no glue at all.

Nevertheless, ensure that the sticker is a removable type even when placed for a long time. You should know that most removable decals are limited on the length of time you'd be able to take them off.

Can Polyvinyl Window Sticker Wash Off

Again, if the graphics wash off your car, then you have purchased items that are not made from vinyl. Those that wash off are mostly made from varnished or laminated paper decals that are supposedly not for exterior display.

Most companies market products with cheap paper stickers that only adhere best on fridges and notebooks, yet won't stick enough outside those items. Polyvinyl adhesive graphics never wash off any vehicle and can last two to three years before complete fading of the inks occurs. And so, if you are intending to advertise and market through cars, opt for the durable vinyl stickers and decals.
