How to Use Low Expanding Foam on a Window Frame
- 1). Put on safety glasses and gloves for protection.
- 2). Shake the can of low expansion foam sealer to mix the product thoroughly.
- 3). Insert the application tube into the nozzle of the can. Then insert the application tube into the space between the window frame and the wall framework at the top left corner.
- 4). Depress the nozzle to fill the crack about 75-percent full with sealant while moving the applicator down the window frame. Continue this process around the window frame perimeter. The foam will expand a few seconds after spraying in crevices. Let the foam dry completely according to package directions.
- 5). Place a metal scraper at a 45-degree angle to the window frame. Push the scraper around the sealed area to cut off and remove any excess sealer that protrudes from the frame.
