1Visit the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration's (DFA) e-file online provider's page on their website. Included on this page is a DFA-approved list of online tax services that provide electronic tax preparation to taxpayers.

Choose from the list of providers the one that best fits your needs for free online tax filing. To file your state return electronically for free you must meet the income guidelines put in place by each of the sites. Taxhawk.com offers free online tax filing for Arkansas residents whose adjusted gross income (AGI) is less than $20,000. Turbotax and Benefit Bank let taxpayers with an AGI of less than $57,000 file for free.

Click on the link for the tax service you'd like to use to file your income taxes. Follow the prompts required for entering your tax information onto the site. Review your return and submit it electronically to the Arkansas DFA.
