    • 1). Plan your budget. Jerome isn’t your usual tourist attraction that can cost an arm and a leg to enter. However, plan on expenses such as transportation, flight travel, food and entertainment as part of your budget.

    • 2). Plan your trip. If you are not within driving distance, check on airline prices and specials. Since Jerome is just 60 miles from Flagstaff, get prices and set up your flight to Flagstaff. If you are on the East coast you will most likely have two stops: one in Atlanta and one in Los Angeles. Jerome does not have its own international airport, so the closest one is the Flagstaff airport.

    • 3). Procure transportation. After you arrive in Flagstaff, rent a car to take you the 60 miles to Jerome where there are motels and inns to stay at. You can hire a driver or take a taxi as well but to make your trip more cost efficient it would be cheaper to rent a car for the duration of your stay.

    • 4). Find a place to stay. There are a variety of inns and hotels in and surrounding the town of Jerome, Arizona. Most are historic areas that have a colorful history for you to enjoy. The Connor Hotel for instance, has local artwork decorating its rooms but still has modern day amenities for you to be comfortable and feel at home. The Jerome Grand Hotel actually has individually decorated rooms and is the only full service hotel in the area.

    • 5). Plan your activities. Jerome has multiple shops, attractions and even a winery. Plan a trip to the Douglas Mansion State Park or visit the Gold King Mine and Ghost Town for a historic adventure. Once at the destinations there are many things to do such as tours and sites for picnics. Plan your activities around what interests you and your family or guests. Jerome is even close enough for a day trip to the Grand Canyon and then you can come back and have a relaxing dinner at one of their various restaurants.
