How to Make a Floral Headpiece
- 1). Measure around your head, from just beneath the top of your forehead, over top of your ears and about 1 1/2 inches above the nape of your neck.
- 2). Cut a piece of floral wire to this length plus about an extra inch. Bring the two ends of the wire together and twist to make one continuous loop.
- 3). Wrap two or three layers of green floral tape all the way around the loop.
- 4). Hold the stem of one silk flower up against the wrapped wire. Wrap another piece of floral tape around the stem. Hold the next silk flower over top of the stem of the first flower and wrap another piece of the tape around the new stem. Continue all the way around the headpiece.
- 5). Cut three or four pieces of 1/2-inch-wide satin ribbon. Make each piece 24 inches long.
- 6). Hold the ribbons together and fold them in half. Lay the fold over the headpiece, overtop of where the wire ends were twisted. Tie the ends of the ribbon in a knot and then tie them in a bow.
