How to Make Bows for Attaching to Fabric
- 1). Cut a length of ribbon. The longer the ribbon, the larger your bow will be. Form the ribbon into two, equally sized loops, and then cross the right loop over the loop on the left.
- 2). Pull the left loop down and through the hole in the center created by the crossed loops. As you knot the two loops together, make sure the ribbon lies flat and doesn’t become twisted.
- 3). Pull the loops tight to form your bow. Use your scissors to cut both ends of the ribbon on an angle, or into a “V” shape.
- 4). Sew the bows into fabric by cutting a length of thread that is the same color as your bow. Thread your needle, and tie a knot in the other end of the needle. Thread the string through the side of the bow’s knot and then through the fabric in order to attach it.
