My 5 Crafty Ways to Save Money
After all why should you pay more for something than you actually have to? Fortunately for us that are plenty of ways to put the money back in our own pockets.
1.
The first tip I want to share with you is when making purchases online.
When you get to the checkout have a good look around to see if there is a box that says something like "enter promotional code" or "enter voucher code".
If there is bingo! This is the company telling people who have these codes were to enter them to get their discounts.
Of course what this is also saying to anybody that doesn't have the codes is "hey we have discount vouchers go forth and seek them out!" so now all that remains is for you go and enter into Google the name of the company and the words voucher or promotional code in quotation marks.
Then with any luck you will find a code that you can use yourself.
2.
The next time you are booking a holiday with a package holiday operator, try and seeif you can get the deal cheaper yourself with the same hotel.
All you need is the name of the hotel and the location then do some digging on Google.
With any luck dealing directly with them and arranging your own flights if needed will work out cheaper.
3.
Here's the first of several money-saving electricity tips.
Why do men insist on wearing T-shirts and having the heating on full blast? That's it! Simply wear more layers rather than turning the heating up! 4.
This money-saving tip was actually born out of a hatred of ironing.
Whenever possible I put clothes on their hangers BEFORE I put them on the washing line to dry.
This does two things it saves me from ironing as much of the washing as I used to and also saves money on the electric saved from not ironing.
5.
And finally if you have a washing machine with timer and economy electricity at night, then make sure you use that timer.
Doing so is likely to save you around two thirds on what it would cost you to wash in the day.
It's surprising how just paying attention to the small things will save you a considerable amount of money over time.
There is an old saying look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves!
