How to Install a Radio in a 1995 Nissan Truck
- 1). Lift the hood of the Nissan truck and remove the black rubber cover over the negative battery terminal. Loosen the bolt that holds the negative battery cable clamp to the negative battery lead post. Move the cable away from the battery.
- 2). Feed the stereo wiring in the empty stereo dock through a faceplate adapter. Insert the faceplate adapter into the vacant stereo mounting bracket. (The adapter should be installed in the dock, and the wiring should be free to connect to the new radio.)
- 3). Plug the Nissan radio wiring groups (bound by plastic wire binders) into the wiring harness adapter leads. Consult the wiring harness adapter manual for instructions on proper connection locations.
- 4). Plug the wiring harness adapter leads into the back panel of the new stereo. Plug the antenna cable into the FM antenna outlet on the back of the aftermarket radio.
- 5). Slide the new radio into the opening provided by the modified stereo mounting dock in the dashboard of the Nissan truck.
- 6). Place the center dashboard trim onto the dashboard. Align the vents with the two openings at the top of the center dash assembly. Press the panel into place and reinstall the two screws just below the vents (and above the climate controls) with a Phillips head screwdriver.
- 7). Place the negative battery cable clamp around the negative lead post and tighten the bolt with the socket and ratchet. Replace the rubber covering over the negative terminal to keep the connection clean. Close the hood of the Nissan truck.
