How to Make a Latin American Doll
- 1). Draw the outline of the body on the back of a piece of fabric and cut out the shape. Trace the shape onto another piece of fabric and cut it out. This will form the front and back of the doll's body.
- 2). Pin the sides of the body together and squeeze the batting into an oval shape. Batting is a form of stuffing that resembles pulled cotton and can be commonly seen in pillows. Stuff the battling into the doll body.
- 3). Roll a ball of batting and wrap a flesh colored fabric over it. Tie a section off in the shape of a ball with the excess hanging loose to form the head and neck.
- 4). Stuff the loose neck portion of the head into the top of the body. If necessary, stuff the body with more batting to fill it out. Carefully remove the pins and stitch the seams of the body shut.
- 5). Draw the face onto the doll using a permanent marker. Glue yarn in the appropriate color to the head for hair.
