How Do I Use Felted Sweaters for Christmas Presents?
- 1). Lay two sweaters on a flat surface and measure 12-by-12-inch blocks with your ruler.
- 2). Cut out about five blocks from the two sweaters. (You can make a scarf with as few as two sweaters.)
- 3). Pin two blocks together at one edge, printed sides facing, and sew them together using your yarn needle and thread.
- 4). Pin each subsequent block, one at a time, to the previous block and sew the blocks together.
- 1). Lay out several different sweaters. Measure and cut sixteen 12-by-12-inch blocks.
- 2). Pin two blocks together at one edge with the printed sides facing.
- 3). Sew together the blocks using your yarn needle and thread. If the felted sweaters are thin enough, you can also use a sewing machine, making sure to backstitch at both ends.
- 4). Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to create four rows of four blocks apiece. Sew all four rows together lengthwise to create your blanket.
