    Growing Up Scrapbook

    • Make a scrapbook including pictures from when the child was first born to the present time. Choose a photo from when the child was first born, then one from each subsequent birthday, or chose a photo from the first day of school all the way through to senior year. Be sure to write what grade or how old the child was in each picture.

    High School or College Scrapbook

    • Use the four years the graduate spent in either high school or college. This may be easier for high school students, since he or she still lives at home. Include pictures from freshman year all the way through senior year. Proms, formals, sporting events, band competitions; whatever the graduate was involved in is great material. Playbills from his plays, ribbons from swim meets or even pictures of all his friends are good choices.

    Family Scrapbook

    • Make a scrapbook full of family pictures for your graduate. A high school graduate can take this to college or a college graduate can take it to his new home to remember the family. Pictures of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins can also be included in the book. If you have time, try to get each person whose picture you include to write a short note to the graduate; you can include the note beside their picture.

    No Picture Scrapbook

    • Not all scrapbooks must have pictures. Put together a scrapbook of blank pages for your graduate. You can write a quote or two within the pages, but leave most of it empty. Give it to the graduating senior a few weeks before the end of school. Have him pass the book to his friends and allow them to write in it. It becomes a special keepsake full of messages, secrets and inside jokes.
