1). Remove the stem from the top of the apple by holding the stem and twisting the apple.
2). Disassemble the pen and remove the outer casing. Use the inside piece of the pen to poke a hole in the top of the apple where the stem was.
3). Make another hole with the larger outside piece of the pen. The hole should be located on the side of the fruit.
4). Try breathing in through the larger hole to see if air flows properly through the apple. If it doesn't, re-poke the holes.
5). Place the loose tobacco in the groove at the top of the apple and light up.
