  Edison is a central New Jersey town named after the inventor Thomas Edison who lived and researched in the area during the late 19th century. The city is affluent and was ranked 28 on CNN Money's list of the best American cities to live in during 2006. The city is one of New Jersey's largest and also fastest-growing. The vast ethnic diversity of the area has created a demand for restaurants of many styles. • Pilipino Ihawan is located about 15 minutes southeast of Edison near South Amboy in the Laurence Harbor. The restaurant features many popular Filipino-style dishes. Entrees such as estopado, chicken tinola, putchero, afritada, sinigang and many fish and squid dishes are available. Leo's Barbecue

• Leo's Barbecue is about 10 minutes north of Edison, across Interstate 287. The restaurant serves traditional Filipino dishes, including adobo-flavored entrees and roasted pig, a favorite in the Philippines. Stir-fry dishes are also served, many of these with noodles flavored with lemon and lime. While most Filipino food is not spicy hot, Leo's does serve Bicol which contains a flavorful blend of hot chilis and coconut milk, not unlike food found in Thai restaurants. Most of the entrees at Leo's are served with rice. Leo's also offers catering and services large parties.
