How to Upload WMA Files
- 1). Open your preferred FTP program. If you don't have one installed, try CuteFTP (Windows), Fetch (Mac) or FileZilla (all platforms).
- 2). Enter your domain name in the format "yourdomain.com" (no "http://" or "www.") in the "Hostname" dialog box that appears on launch. Enter your web host username and password in the boxes provided; check your initial web hosting account confirmation email for these details if you're uncertain.
- 3). Click "Connect" to connect to your web hosting account. A directory tree for the files on your computer's hard drive will appear on the left side of the screen, while a directory tree for the files on your website will appear on the right side of the screen.
- 4). Select your WMA files on the left, then drag them to the folder on the right side of the screen where you want to upload them. Make sure this folder is publicly-accessible; usually the very first directory that opens upon connecting (containing folders like "home" and "logs") is only accessible to you. If you're unsure, upload the WMA files into a folder where other files you already know to be publicly accessible are located.
- 1). Sign up for a file hosting service like Dropbox or Box.net, or use MediaFire, which allows you to upload files without an account.
- 2). Log in to your new online account. (Skip this step if you're using MediaFire.)
- 3). Click "Upload," then "Choose Files." Select the WMA file(s) on your computer that you wish to upload. Hold "Shift" to select multiple files in a row, or hold down "Ctrl" and click on each filename to select multiple WMA files that are not in sequential order.
- 4). Click "Upload" to upload the WMA file(s). Make careful note of the web address to access each file so you can access and/or share them later.
