Quad Riding

• In Albufeira, located in central Algarve, you can rent 4x4 quads that are automatic and easy to handle even for beginners. The quads allow you to travel to areas that are not accessible by cars and hard to get to on foot because of the rough terrain. You will see the scenic views of Algarve not visible from any paved road or hilltop. One of the tours will take you along the tarmac to an area where the trail starts. As you venture off road, you will see Portuguese houses. The tour will take you to a traditional Portuguese café, down a mountain, through an orange plantation and back to the starting point.

Aqua Show

• In west Algarve, you can spend the day at Aquashow Family Park in Quarteira. The park is more of a waterpark than it is a theme park. It has a water roller coaster, which is the largest in Europe and white falls, which is a long waterslide that descents into a pool below. Aquashow has a lazy river, wave pool and Jacuzzi. The waterpark features birds of prey, exotic birds, and a variety of restaurants.

Seafaris

• In East Algarve, Algarve Seafaris cruises are one way to see the beauty of the coastline. The beach BBQ Cruise takes you on a 7 hour tour of the coastline, with a stop at a secluded beach where you can tour the natural grottos and caves. The beach is only accessible by sea, but while you are there, you can explore, swim and enjoy some good barbecued foods. Algarve Seafaris offers a two hour sunset cruise or a coastline cruise that takes you to an area coastline where there are caves, sculptured and formed in the rock from the sea water.
