Drinking water is a basic necessity of life.
Eight glasses is the minimum amount needed to simply be healthy.
When we take into account the number of toxins in the air and the amount of stress that accompanies the average day, we begin to see that in order to achieve more than minimal health, we need to actually drink beyond that eight glasses of water, sometimes even drinking twelve or more glasses a day.
This may sound like a lot of water, but once you see the benefits of drinking water in this amount, you will almost certainly feel that it is worth it.
The biggest benefit of drinking water is that you will flush your body of toxins.
We ingest toxins from a number of sources, from the air we breathe to the foods we eat.
In addition, the human body produces toxins as it digests food.
Many toxins are flushed when we do basic thing such as sweat or use the restroom, but our bodies need a constant supply of pure water to facilitate these processes.
While water in general is necessary, drinking purified water allows for optimal flushing, as most tap and bottled waters contain toxins of their own.
If the importance of drinking water is to remove impurities from the body, it is vital that the water not replace the toxins being flushed with new ones.
Studies show that the majority of tap water in the U.
S.
contains a number of carcinogens, or cancer causing agents, as well as pesticides.
In addition to providing your body with a way to rid itself of toxins, drinking water also helps your body to digest food and create energy.
Fiber is useless in the digestive system without water, and can actually go bad and create health problems such as constipation and stomach pain.
In addition, without water, your blood thickens which can cause circulation problems and make you tired.
When your body has to work double time to digest food and pump blood, it takes the energy you get from food to do so, leaving less energy for daily activities.
Drinking a large amount of water every day that is free of toxins is literally the best thing you can do for your health.
It gives you more energy, reduces your chances of short-term illnesses by boosting your immune system.
In addition, drinking pure water reduces your chances of cancer because pure water does not contain the same carcinogens as tap water or bottled water.
No that you have learned the importance of drinking water, the only thing left to do is to take action and start drinking ten to twelve glasses a day.
You have nothing to lose, but a lifetime of better health to gain.
