How to Make an RC Helicopter Practice Stand
- 1). Pierce the two carbon fiber rods through the cork in the shape of a cross. Cut the rods to your desired length, while keeping in mind that longer rods are intended for beginners (shorter rods will make it more difficult to fly).
- 2). Check that the cork is centered on both rods, then apply a few dabs of super glue to fix it in place.
- 3). Drill holes through the four ping-pong balls, then press the rods completely through them. Leave the pin-pong balls on the very ends of the rods, then apply super glue to fasten them.
- 4). Place the training gear on a flat surface, then plant the helicopter at the center, directly above the cork. Zip tie the rods to the skids, making sure that the gear remains perfectly centered.
