Guide Review - Mizu: Sushi and Japanese in the Flatiron District
Rated one of Citysearch's best for sushi, Mizu is tucked away in the Flatiron district - but is worth searching out.
Surrounded by open-faced brick walls and paper-covered lighting, the dining experience at Mizu is impeccable. The service is prompt and polite, prices are moderate and atmosphere pleasant and clean.
And the food! The menu features a wide range of Japanese favorites. I enjoyed the clear soup with mushrooms and scallions and shrimp and scallop skewer appetizer, a wonderful start to a meal of sushi.
The sushi menu offered many standards and creative choices. The rolls didn't skimp on the meat and fillings. The tempura, the servings of which are large, is light and tasty.
