Considering a Family Cruise?

When most people think of family cruises they've usually had their opinion coloured by others and assume that cruising isn't for them.
However after their cruising experience most find it to be one of the best vacations ever.
You can enjoy a variety of destinations without being annoyed by packing, unpacking, and dragging luggage and kids into cars and planes.
The up-front usually almost all-inclusive price, only drinks and shore tours tend to be extra, makes most cruises easy to budget.
In port there is often a good selection of activities for those on cruises to enjoy, these can include going to beaches, various historic sites, and exciting snorkel trips with the children.
On board there are even more, you can sign up for events such as signing up for family Olympics and sports trivia games and enjoying dinner as a family.
With the day-long children's programs, the kids are also kept happily busy on board with pool parties, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, and deck games.
That gives the adults time to try a massage and lounge in a deck chair, enjoying the sea breezes.
This is why cruising is one of the top vacation choices for many families.
However to have a truly successful cruise, you must pick the sailing trip that meets your family's wants and needs.
Programs and amenities vary a lot from cruise line to cruise line, and also among ships within a line themselves.
Things to consider when booking a cruise Cabin size.
It's worth making sure of the size of any cabin you're thinking booking; it can vary widely depending on price.
If your budgets tight, decide if you can live with a small cabin that doesn't have a window (called an interior cabin).
Of course, you hopefully won't be spending much non-sleeping time inside your cabin.
Extras.
Be very clear about what's included in the price of your cruise.
Airfare, for example, is most often not a part of a cruise fare.
But if you book air through the cruise line, you usually get a good deal, and they will most likely include round-trip transfers between the airport and the ship, which can be pricey if you book on your own.
Entertainment and food is usually included, but alcohol is most often not.
Find out whether port charges and taxes are included.
Shore excursions will likely be one of the most expensive extras (though some cruises include these as well); they can cost as little as ÂŁ15 for a walking tour up to ÂŁ200 or more for flightseeing (sightseeing from a plane).
Also figure in the tips for the crew.
A good base is ÂŁ5 per person, per day; some people give more, especially for exceptional service, but this is obviously a personal choice.
Overall family cruises are a great way to go on a stress free holiday with the family!
