How to Clean and Preserve an Old Leather Holster
- 1). Apply a small amount of leather cleaner to a sponge or cloth and rub the cleaner into the leather until it lathers. Wipe off the foam with a damp sponge or cloth and dry with a towel.
- 2). Apply your leather conditioner to a clean cloth or sponge and rub the conditioner into the leather. Wipe off any excess conditioner.
- 3). Allow your holster at least 12 hours to absorb the conditioner naturally. Do not attempt to speed up the drying process with a hair dryer; the extra heat may damage the fibers of the leather.
- 4). Repeat the process until you're satisfied with the appearance of the holster.
