There are thousands of self help books within book stores, and many of these have achieved incredible things, including being top of best seller lists.
As far as I am aware, none of them have yet outsold the bible, but there are certainly some serious numbers which are achieved by these types of books.
Here we will look at why these types of books are so popular, and also why you should read "The Four Hour Work Week" in particular.
Most self help and personal development books will give you a broad overview of the things which you need to do to turn your life around, and also to provide you with the confidence and also the self belief that you need to do this, clearly this is good stuff, and for many people this will be spark which they need to initiate a new lifestyle for themselves.
The Four Hour Work Week (FHWW) goes into why "the deferred" life plan is no good.

that whole thing of doing something soon will not get it done.
It also goes through the whole idea of living a $1 million lifestyle, which is fairly clearly what most people want, without having $1million! It really goes into why we should do these things, and answers the questions that most people have around this.
Once again a huge part of the attraction of FHWW in my opinion is that the author has done this themselves, and this is not just the theory, but the practical application of the theory, which is a huge differentiator over some of the other books out there.
There is very clear guidance in terms of the process, which is made up of the following acronym, Definition, Elimination, Automation and Liberation.
This process is making the "deal" which will enable you to cut your ties with your current arrangements and will enable you to engage in a much more fulfilling life and become part of the New Rich.
There are many definitions which are included throughout the book, but for me the one which encapsulates the whole mindset and process is as follows: "To think big, but ensure pay day comes every day: cash flow first, big pay day second".
The whole philosophy which is being adopted here is around working effectively.
This is not all about the physical number of dollars or pounds which you own, but more about the quality which you are able to derive from the those dollars or pounds which you can generate when spending them.
If applied the FHWW will give you a clear approach in how to avoid those 14 hour days which is the generally the preconception which are required to become wealthy.
What this book will give you is a whole other angle that perhaps you had not considered.
For me the Four Hour Work Week is a must read.
