How Favorite Food Overeating Once a Week Helps You Lose Weight

Weight problems are attributed to food overeating, this is obvious, but what has been discovered is that eating your favorite foods in excess might actually help you lose weight when you learn how to strategically cheat on your diet.

No one will argue with the fact that if you eat too much food on a consistent basis and consume too many calories your weight will go up. We live in a world of abundance and it is easy to overindulge on a regular basis.

But we also live in a very image conscious world where being overweight is looked at in a less than desirable state by many people.

This creates a tug-of-war between overeating and dieting and we are caught in the middle. However new scientific studies into the way your body's hormones regulate fat loss and hunger are bridging the gap between these two seemingly opposites.

There is a problem with dieting. When you reduce your calories over a period of time a hormone in your body called leptin sends out a red flag alarm to your brain and body. You see leptin is concerned with monitoring how much food you are getting and when it notices your food intake go down it senses that you are in a state of semi-starvation.

Leptin doesn't care about your plans to lose your belly or burn fat off of your hips, it just doesn't want you to starve to death.

This red flag alarm causes your body to do a number of things (none of which you want to happen). One of the first things it does is slams the brakes on your metabolism which causes your ability to burn fat to plummet. Another thing it does is turns up your production of the belly fat building hormone, cortisol, and the hunger stimulating hormone, gherlin.

So in plan terms, when you go on a diet your fat burning metabolism drops dramatically, your belly fat storage increases and your hunger becomes severe. No wonder diets don't work!

In order to lose weight and not fight your body you must give yourself a weekly metabolism boost and there is a wonderful way to do that, in a nutshell you can call it favorite food overeating.

After 6 days of dieting you MUST take one day and overeat all of your favorite foods: pizza, ice cream, cookies, burgers, whatever you desire. This reverses the unfavorable hormonal response set up from dieting so your metabolism starts firing full force giving you a full week of high fat burning, and your hunger cravings go away.

There is a strategic way to add food overeating to your diet and actually increase the speed and efficiency of your fat loss. By adding a "Cheat Day" once a week you will see your weight drop week after week and not have to deal with the difficult cravings and deprivation seen in other dieting methods.
