Whoever said that we can eliminate stress in our day-to-day life? Stress is a natural and normal part of the human existence.
Every activity, opportunity, or situation that we involve ourselves in comes with stress elements, which could either be viewed positively or negatively.
Hence, our goal should not be focused on how to get rid of stress but instead on how to make it work to our advantage.
Stress Defined Defined as a pattern of disturbing physiological and psychological reactions arising from external events, activities, and situations that affect the human ability to cope, stress entails an emotional as well as mental strain.
When perceived negatively, stress will most likely cause adverse health effects such as high blood pressure, insomnia, indigestion, migraines, and sometimes even abnormal sexual indifference.
It should, therefore, be emphasized that the means by which we cope up with stress imposes how it is going to affect us; and in this case, it could either help us or destroy us.
Keeping a Positive Perspective about Stress Stress in not all bad.
Having a positive perspective about it makes a lot of difference.
Let's see how with a positive perspective one can manage to get along well even with stress around: oAccepting stress.
When things cannot be simply changed, coping with the situation is the positive attitude that one needs to have.
Making yourself feel better should be your focus to make things more light even with the stressful element around.

If one is able to properly come up with the appropriate resources to cope with the demands, then the stress level is most likely to be kept at a harmless phase.
Rate your internal as well as external resources and check how they can be of help in answering the stressful event or situation.

A bed-ridden family member brings about stress in the household.
Learning how to make things easier for everybody is fighting stress with a positive perspective.
Family members may then learn to be closer to one another and cherish the great memories the stressful situation may impose upon them.
Making Stress Work to Your Advantage Now that we have learned that there is a positive side to stress, it's time to make it work to our advantage.
Here are simple tips on how we can possibly do that: 1.
Know when to worry.
Admit it.
People nowadays worry too much.
Unlike the primitive man who had a whole lot of reasons to be really worried, the modern human being should be a little less paranoid.

Worry objectively.
When you find yourself worrying, try to assess whether you're doing it right.
If you're hungry, sleepy, or simply just in a bad mood and you find yourself worrying, then you probably are worrying over the wrong things or doing it the wrong way.

Think about solutions instead of worrying about problems.
So you have been promoted to your dream post.
Do not be stressed about all the bigger responsibilities that you have; instead think of the exciting ways by which you can face your new job head-on.

Know when to say time-out.
It does not mean that when you're faced with a stressful situation to make decisions that you have to decide right there and then.
Give yourself a breather before you call out the shots and you will see how effective your decisions turn out to be.
5.
Recharge, recharge, recharge.
Alleviate the symptoms of stress by paying attention to your body.
Are you eating well? Are you getting enough sleep? Being physically fit does wonders to the human body--and mind.
