  The Florida Keys stretch from the southern tip of the Florida mainland all the way west to Key West. The only way to travel overland through the Florida Keys is via U.S. 1---also called the Overseas Highway and the only road. Key Largo, as its name might suggest, is the longest of the Florida Keys. Azul del Mar

• Azul del Mar, which means "blue of the sea," is an upscale boutique hotel on the western side of the highway in Key Largo. Due to Azul del Mar's proximity to Florida's Everglades National Park, the resort offers sunset cruises to a bird sanctuary in the park. Azul del Mar also offers snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and eco-tours, both in the sea and in the Everglades. Most of the water sports tours consist of six-person groups and leave from the hotel's own dock.
  
  Azul del Mar also boasts an outdoor grill where guests can grill their own catch.
  
  Tropical Garden Suites, which overlook the resort's gardens, go for $129 and up per night, while Seafront Suites are $149 and up per night and Deluxe Sea View Suites are $179 and up per night. These last two both overlook the beach; the difference is that the Deluxe Sea View suite is the larger of the two.

Marina del Mar

• Marina del Mar's rooms offer central air-conditioning, a refrigerator, cable TV and balconies overlooking the Atlantic. Suites offer kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms. Marina del Mar's marina allows boats to be docked overnight as well as rented. There are also dive shops, an Olympic-size pool, a Jacuzzi and a gym.
  
  The resort also offers a number of water sports including deep-sea and back-country fishing as well as snorkeling and diving in the nearby coral reef.
