    • 1). Cast yarn onto the round loom. Anchor the end of the yarn by wrapping it around the anchor peg then perform an e-wrap around each peg, moving clockwise around the entire loom. Wrap the yarn under and around the top of each peg in a counterclockwise direction to form a cursive "E" shape.

    • 2). Wrap each peg a second time, moving again in a clockwise direction around the loom. When finished you should have two rows of stitches on every peg.

    • 3). Knit off the first stitch on every peg. Use the hook that came with your round loom to pull the first stitch slightly away from the peg then lift it over the top and off the peg. Move in a clockwise direction around the loom, knitting the first stitch off every peg.

    • 4). Wrap the loom again to create a second stitch on every peg. When finished, knit off the first stitch and wrap the loom again. Repeat this process until you have a length of knitted yarn twice the width of the desired brim for your hat. Finish with one stitch on each peg.

    • 5). Lift the length of knitted yarn up through the middle of the round loom and hook each of the bottom stitches onto the corresponding pegs. Check that every peg has two stitches on it before moving on.

    • 6). Knit off the loom by lifting the bottom stitch on each peg over and off the peg, moving clockwise around the loom. When finished you should have a double thickness of knitted yarn hanging down through the loom. This is the brim for your hat.

    • 7). Wrap the loom as you normally would to create a second stitch on each peg. Knit off and wrap the loom again, knitting until you reach the desired length for your hat. Knit off the loom and finish the hat using your preferred method.
