Your Attitude Is Who You Are

You heard this when you were kid, 'Change your attitude!' At the time it probably meant that you were being disagreeable to what the authority figure perceived as being proper behaviour for the situation.
Knowing most kids, from a social point of view the parent was probably correct.
So people are taught from a young age that attitude is important.
That is true, it is.
One thing though is that the role models whom enforce these attitude changes are sometimes continuing what their parents taught them, without question.
Sometimes this is good, sometimes it is bad; it needs to be sifted through and updated.
The times are moving fast and so is everything else.
All of this does not need to be complicated if you strip it all down to one rule, the golden rule.
"Do unto others as you wish done unto yourself" This is simple and timeless.
If you believe that all is one and one is all then by treating people the way you treat yourself, with love, is actually a way of loving yourself.
By giving more love into the world, you get more back; keeping in mind that all is one and one is all as a focal point for yourself will help you achieve this.
Another advantage to giving more love into the world is that you increase the amount of love in the world which adds to the consciousness field in a positive way.
So as you make a real effort to have a positive attitude throughout all of your days, you will live each of those days to the fullest that they can be lived.
Even though you may not get much physically done that day, your contribution to the greater good and your greater well-being will make it a most satisfying and successful day.
If you take any given event that you encounter during your day, you have a choice to choose how you are going to react to that event.
Say for example, you are crossing a street and a car nearly hits you.
You have a choice to either let the car pass you by without any kind of reaction, and with much gratitude that it did not hit you or you could swear and swing your fist in the air at the driver.
Most likely if you choose the latter the driver won't care and may not even see you or hear you, but for you it may bother you for the next five minutes, and if you are with someone who also comments on it, then it will be a conversation for ten minutes.
Now you gotta ask yourself, was it worth getting mad about? This is where attitude comes in; you always have a choice to act poorly or positively towards what happens in your life.
How you choose determines your attitude, and your attitude is who you are in the world.
