How to Make a Wood Spool for Coiling
- 1). Mark the center of each piece of plywood.
- 2). Hammer a nail into the center mark on each piece of plywood. The nail should be inserted just until the point comes through the backside of the plywood.
- 3). Take one end of the dowel and place glue on the end.
- 4). Center one piece of plywood against the glue and nail it in place.
- 5). Turn the dowel over and place glue on the other end.
- 6). Place the second piece of plywood on the end of the dowel and nail it into place.
- 7). Fasten the end of the twine to the dowel, using a piece of tape.
- 8). Wrap the twine around the dowel.
- 9). Fasten the end of the twine to the top of the plywood with tape.
