How to Run a Floor Polisher
- 1). Unlock the floor polisher handle and place it in the upright position, then lock the handle again. Pull the handle back and lay it on the ground to tip the floor polisher up, exposing the bottom of the unit.
- 2). Choose a polishing pad that is appropriate for the surface you want to polish. Different polishing pads are available for tile, stone, wood or vinyl surfaces.
- 3). Place the polishing pad holder onto the lug attached to the motor on the bottom of the unit. Rotate the pad holder clockwise to lock it in place.
- 4). Center the polishing pad over and press it onto the pad holder. The bristles on the pad holder will grab the polishing pad and hold it in place.
- 5). Tip the polisher upright. Plug the electrical cord for the unit into the electrical socket. Unlock the floor polisher handle and place the handle in a comfortable operating position. Lock the floor polisher handle at that position.
- 6). Apply any polishing wax or finish to the floor. Push the safety lock on the handle of the polisher forward and hold it in place to unlock the switch levers.
- 7). Grasp both handles of the polisher. Squeeze one of the switch levers to turn the floor polisher on. Release the safety lock.
- 8). Move the head of the polisher back and forth across the floor you are polishing, as the pad on the bottom of the polisher spins. Apply more wax or finish, as needed. Continue to polish until you achieve the desired level of shine.
- 9). Release the switch levers to stop the polisher, when you are finished polishing the floor. Unplug the polisher. Unlock and place the handle in the upright position and lock the handle again. Tip the handle back. Remove the polishing pad on the bottom of the unit for cleaning. The polisher is ready to store until needed again.
